Itinerary - 7 Days
Day 1 — Fairbanks, Alaska
Arrive in Fairbanks and transfer to the hotel. Join fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. (D)
Day 2 — Fairbanks/Denali National Park
This morning, delve into Alaska's cultural heritage on a visit to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum, where artifacts spanning 11,000 years are on display. Travel to the entrance of Denali National Park and meet local guides for the scenic drive into the heart of the park. Arrive at North Face Lodge, a country-style inn that will be your home for the next four nights.

Days 3, 4, & 5 — Denali National Park
Spend three full days exploring the wonders of Denali. Follow naturalists on hikes into the spectacular mountains to spot wildlife and identify native flora, canoe on pristine rivers and lakes, take a fly fishing excursion, or set off on bikes to discover hidden wonders. Attend nightly talks about the natural and cultural history of Denali.
Day 6 — Denali National Park/Anchorage
Look for wildlife on your way out of the park this morning. Travel first-class on board the Alaska Railroad for the journey to Anchorage.

Day 7 — Anchorage/Sitka, Juneau or home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, or fly to Sitka or Juneau to meet the group for your cruise in Alaska's Inside Passage.

Denali pre-trip extensions aboard the National Geographic Sea Bird and post-trip extensions aboard the National Geographic Sea Lion require one additional night's lodging, not included in the extension cost which also excludes internal Alaska airfare.
