Step back in time at historic sites along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard on a weeklong journey by rail. Explore the cobblestoned streets of colonial Boston, take in the iconic landmarks of New York City, and stroll amid the marble monuments of Washington, D.C. From the Statue of Liberty to the Liberty Bell, delve into some of the most fascinating chapters of American history.

    • Explore Boston’s renowned Freedom Trail with a local expert, encountering historic churches, cemeteries, parks, and museums.
    • Take a photo walk with a renowned photographer through the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick.
    • Enjoy an insider’s tour of the National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C., and learn about a rich history of exploration which dates back more than a century
    • Visit Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.

Itinerary - 8 Days

Day 1 — Boston

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 — Boston

Accompanied by a local expert, delve into the rich history of the American Revolution along Boston’s Freedom Trail, which showcases some of the most significant sites that shaped the founding of America. This afternoon, explore the city and opt to visit Faneuil Hall, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, or Fenway Park for a Red Sox game (season permitting). (1B)

Day 3 — New York City

Catch a train to the Big Apple. Set off on a photo walk with a local photographer through the trendy Bushwick neighborhood, known for its vibrant street art, galleries, and cafés. We’ll have many opportunities to take great shots and enjoy some tastings at local shops.

Day 4 — New York City

Take advantage of a free day to explore New York City. Opt for an excursion to Times Square or Central Park, catch a Broadway show, or visit landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, or the 9/11 Memorial. (1B)

Day 5 — Philadelphia

Continue by train to Philadelphia. Embark on a CEO-led walk and visit important sites in American history, including the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed in the 1700s. (1B)

Day 6 — Washington, D.C.

Our next destination is the nation's capital. This afternoon, visit the headquarters of National Geographic, which boasts a rich history dating back to 1888. Take a tour of the museum and get a behind-the-scenes look at how National Geographic’s iconic magazine is produced. (1B)

Day 7 — Washington, D.C.

Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city, visit its museums, or go for a hike on the scenic trails of Rock Creek Park. This evening, take a walk with our CEO along the National Mall to view stately monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. (1B)
