Itinerary - 12 Days
Day 1 — Cape Town
Arrive at any time. Arrival
transfer is included.
Days 2 & 3 — Cape Town
National Botanical Gardens alongside an expert
guide. National Geographic Traveler magazine
named these gardens among the top ten in the
world. Continue on to explore vibrant Cape Town
and Cape Point, stopping to see the penguins at
Boulders Beach. Enjoy free
time the next day to hike Table
Mountain or embark on a wine tour around
Day 4 — Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg. Meet your CEO and enjoy a traditional South African braai (barbecue) welcome dinner.
Days 5 & 6 — Panorama Route/Kruger National Park
Take a scenic drive along
the famed Panorama Route with stops at Blyde
River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and God’s
Window. Continue to our tented camp, conveniently
located just outside Kruger National Park.
The next morning, opt to take a game walk before
embarking on a game drive in an open safari vehicle
to take in views of the abundant wildlife in the
afternoon. This evening, enjoy stunning views and
an incredible dinner on the deck. (2B, 1D)
Days 7 & 8 — Karongwe Private Game Reserve
Enjoy morning and evening open-vehicle game
drives while searching for Africa’s “big five”—lion,
leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo. Meet
with a researcher from the Endangered Wildlife
Trust’s Carnivore Conservation Programme, a
project headed by National Geographic grantee
Kelly Marnewick. A member of Kelly’s team will
tell us about their ongoing field research and join
us on one of our game drives. (2B, 1L, 2D)
Day 9 — Johannesburg
After one last game drive, head back to the city. This evening, enjoy a home-cooked dinner at our guesthouse. (1B, 1D)
Days 10 & 11 — Victoria Falls
Fly to Zimbabwe
and take a guided tour along the trails of the
awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. Then
walk through a local market before dinner at a
family homestead. Get to know the family and
share stories as we all help prepare a traditional
Zimbabwean dinner. The next day, enjoy free
time for optional activities, including a river safari,
whitewater rafting, canoeing, or even a flight over
the falls. (2B, 1D)

All trip prices are per person based on double occupancy. If you're traveling on your own, we'll pair you up with a roommate of the same gender so that you can pay the same rate as other travelers.
