Days 2 & 3 — Maya Ruins of Tikal, Guatemala
Board our private jet bound for the jungles of the Petén in northeast Guatemala. Explore the magnificent ruins of Tikal, the capital of one of the most powerful kingdoms of the ancient Maya. See the Temple of the Great Jaguar, the North and Central Acropolises, and other sacred monuments. Enjoy your choice of other activities, including a nature hike in Cerro Cahui Natural Reserve, a cruise on Lake Peten Itza, and a walking tour of a local town.
Camino Real Tikal (B, L, D daily)
Days 4, 5, & 6 — Cusco and Machu Picchu, Nasca Lines and Lima, or Chiclayo and Trujillo in Northern Peru
Upon arrival in Lima, set out by local air on one of three excursions. Fly to Cusco (11,200 feet) and ride a train to Machu Picchu (8,000 feet)—one of the world’s greatest archaeological sites. Then return to Cusco and explore the Plaza de Armas and Sacsayhuaman fortress overlooking the city. Or go flight seeing over the Nasca lines and then explore in and around Lima, visiting the Temple of the Sun at Pachacamac and other historic sites. Or head to northern Peru and explore ancient Moche and Chimu temples, including Chan Chan, the largest adobe city in the world.

Days 7 & 8 — The Argentine Lake District
Fly by private jet to the Andean foothills and land in San Carlos de Bariloche, deep in Argentine Patagonia. Ride a chairlift to the top of a volcano, Cerro Campanario; cruise Lake Nahuel Huapí; and enjoy your choice of other activities such as hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, fly-fishing, and golfing.

Days 9 & 10 — Buenos Aires or Estancia Retreat, Argentina
Arrive in Buenos Aires and delve into this historic city’s distinctive, European-influenced neighborhoods. Explore the art community of San Telmo and the colorful La Boca barrio, one of the working-class neighborhoods where tango first developed. Or travel to a countryside estancia to enjoy gaucho activities, a horse-drawn carriage ride, and a traditional barbecue.

Day 11 — Iguazú Falls, Brazil
Go flight seeing by helicopter over Iguazú Falls to witness from an unforgettable perspective one of the world’s largest waterfalls—more than twice as wide as Niagara Falls. Ride a Zodiac through the thundering mists of Iguazú Falls; hike a series of trails and catwalks around it; and see the incredible variety of flowering plants, bird species, and butterflies that abound in this spectacular landscape. Days 12 & 13 — The Legendary Amazon River and Rain Forest, Peru
Depart for Iquitos, Peru by private jet. Float down the Amazon River to our lodge, nestled in the heart of the rain forest. Stroll through the treetops on a canopy walkway, or visit remote villages of the Yagua tribe and meet the founder of a monkey rehabilitation center.

Days 14 & 15 — Costa Rican Jungle Safari
Venture into Costa Rica’s Tamarindo National Wildlife Refuge to observe an incredible variety of wildlife in the protected mangrove swamps and forests, including capuchin monkeys, spectacled caimans, white ibis, and great blue herons. Enjoy a festive gala farewell dinner accompanied by the music and dance of Central America.
