Itinerary - 9 Days
Day 1 — Iguaçu Falls
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer is included.
Days 2 & 3 — Iguaçu Falls
Spend two days discovering Iguaçu Falls—a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the Brazilian side of the falls for the best panoramic views, and learn about the region’s flora and fauna with a local biologist. The next day, explore the Argentine side. Opt to ride a boat to the base of the falls, walk the nature trails and catwalks of the surrounding national park, or visit a nearby bird sanctuary. (2B)
Day 4 — São Paulo
Fly to São Paulo and discover its gastronomy and architecture with a local guide. Visit some of its greatest highlights, including the Monument to the Flags, the cathedral, the colonial Pátio do Colégio, and Oscar Niemeyer’s striking Ibirapuera Auditorium. Along the way, sample local foods and enjoy lunch at the Mercado Municipal.
Days 5 & 6 — Parati
Travel by private vehicle to Parati and visit a nearby Afro-Brazilian community for a unique cultural experience and traditional meal. The next day, enjoy a boat cruise to nearby islands and beaches, and go on an optional tour of a cachaça distillery. (2B, 2L)
Days 7 & 8 — Rio de Janeiro
Travel to Rio and enjoy two days at leisure in this vibrant city, exploring from our hotel on the famous Copacabana Beach. Opt to visit Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, saving some energy to experience the nightlife.
