Itinerary - 10 Days
Day 1 — Lima
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer is included.
Days 2 & 3 — Amazon Rain Forest
Fly to Puerto Maldonado and continue by motorized canoe our comfortable Amazon lodge, located in the lush Tambopata rain forest. Go on jungle excursions guided by knowledgeable naturalists to spot wildlife. Take advantage of free time to relax or swim, and go on a caiman-spotting cruise after dark. (2B, 2L, 2D)
Day 4 — Cusco
Travel by boat out of the jungle and catch our flight over the Andes to Cusco. Enjoy some free time to explore the cobbled streets and festive plazas of this one-time Inca capital. This evening, peer at the stars through the telescopes of the Cusco planetarium. (1B)
Day 5 — Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo
Enjoy a full day exploring the Sacred Valley with a local guide. Tour the G Adventures-supported Parque de la Papa, or Potato Park, a network of rural agricultural communities working to preserve more than 700 species of potatoes. Learn about potato cultivation and traditional weaving, and the importance of each to Andean culture. Next, explore the Pisac ruins and visit the G Adventures-supported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in the village of Huchuy Qosqo. Discover the pre-Inca salt pans of Las Salineras. Enjoy a traditional pachamanca-style meal. (1B, 1L)
Days 6 through 9 — Inca Trail to Machu Picchu/Cusco
All roads lead to Machu Picchu, either by foot or rail. Choose to undertake the four-day guided Inca Trail hike. Or enjoy two free days in Cusco before catching a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes, our base for visiting the famed citadel. Explore Machu Picchu with an expert guide before returning to Cusco by train. (4B, 3L, 3D)

All trip prices are per person based on double occupancy. If you're traveling on your own, we'll pair you up with a roommate of the same gender so that you can pay the same rate as other travelers.
