    • Experience ancient Fez, the stunning stables of Meknès, and the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
    • Meet Berbers and artisans, and listen to the tunes of traditional Gnaoua musicians.

Step back in time on a guided walking tour of the Fez medina, a World Heritage site. See artisans and tanners at work, and pass by market stands selling everything from aromatic spices and colorful ceramics to pastries and kitchen gadgets. Sit down to a traditional tagine lunch at a G Adventures-supported organization that provides vocational training for rural Moroccan women. Later, there may be a chance to visit one of Fez’s grand riads for an optional dinner accompanied by a belly-dancing performance. (1B)

Day 4 — Merzouga

Opt to meet an herbalist in Ouarzazate to learn about traditional remedies used by Berbers. (1B)
