An African safari is one of the ultimate experiences every traveller should have, and this eight-day adventure in Kenya is the ideal introduction. Ride on daily game drives in the shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro, introduce yourself to the Maasai way of life, and learn about rhino conservation from the National Geographic-associated Kenya Wildlife Service. With plains teeming with wildlife and dotted with acacia trees, this is the Africa of your dreams.

    • Explore three incredible wildlife areas: Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, and Amboseli.
    • Get an insider’s view on elephant conservation during a talk with a researcher from the Kenya Wildlife Service.
    • Optional opportunities to visit a Maasai village or take a hot-air balloon ride over the savanna.

Itinerary - 8 Days

Day 1 — Nairobi

Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer is included.

Days 2 & 3 — Masai Mara National Reserve

Travel to our comfortable tented camp located in the heart of Kenya’s premier wildlife reserve. Enjoy daily game drives and options to visit a Maasai village or embark on a balloon safari. In the evenings, settle back at the camp and marvel at the views overlooking the surrounding plains. (2B, 2L, 2D)

Day 4 — Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart early to a G Adventures for Good supported project, Ubuntu Café – an initiative that trains and creates local jobs for women. Tour the craft center and farm, then sit down to a delicious farm-to-table lunch. Continue to our safari lodge, inside the Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive, paying special attention to the rare rhinos who make this area their home. (1B, 1L, 1D)

Days 5 & 6 — Amboseli National Park

Embark on a sunrise game drive before continuing on to Amboseli National Park and our safari tented camp. The next day, head out on morning and afternoon game drives, taking in iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the wildlife that lives in its shadow. Gain a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding poaching and elephant conservation during a lecture by an accredited speaker from the Kenya Wildlife Service—an organization that has long partnered with National Geographic to preserve the country’s wildlife habitats. Day 7 — Amboseli/Nairobi

Enjoy an incredible African sunrise on our last game drive before returning back to the capital. (1B, 1L)

Cost Details

All trip prices are per person based on double occupancy. If you're traveling on your own, we'll pair you up with a roommate of the same gender so that you can pay the same rate as other travelers. Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include airfare. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars.

During your trip, sometimes it's just more convenient and comfortable to have your own room. That's why we offer the "My Own Room" option - a single room all to yourself.

If you're traveling on your own, we'll pair you up with a roommate of the same gender so that you can pay the same rate as other travelers. For those who need their alone time, look for the "My Own Room" rate.
