Our accommodations are selected for their exceptional quality, location, and character. Below are several of the accommodations featured on this expedition.
Desert Rhino Camp
Palmwag Concession, Namibia
Desert Rhino Camp lies among the rolling, rocky hills of the Palmwag Concession. It consists of eight raised Meru-style canvas tents with front verandas. Take in the sweeping valley around the camp, dotted with scattered euphorbia and ancient welwitschia plants, as well as the Etendeka Mountains. The comfortable tented dining and lounge area is elevated with partially open sides, offering panoramic views. Evening meals are taken around the fire pit, in front of the lapa, or near the swimming pool.
Set among ancient camel thorn trees on the dry Auab riverbed, Little Kuala offers prime access to the towering red sand dunes of the Namib Desert and is the gateway to Namibia's extraordinary Sossusvlei. The 11 climate-controlled, thatched accommodations merge impeccably into the timeless desert landscape and are equipped with exquisite fittings and fixtures and innovative bleached decks, each with a private plunge pool. Each accommodation has a rooftop 'skybed' for romantic stargazing, as well as an indoor and an outdoor shower.
Overlooking the Selinda Spillway—a waterway that links Botswana's Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando marshes, rivers, and floodplains—this elegant property includes nine thatched, elevated tents. Each accommodation is outfitted with hardwood floors, a lounge area, an en suite bathroom with a full-sized stone bath and antique shower, fine linens, and an extensive veranda. The main lounge is an ideal spot for watching wildlife. There is a raised, outdoor dining deck for evening meals under the stars. Wildlife and nature drives are conducted by resident guides in open 4x4 vehicles with removable canvas roof tops.
