Chile's Atacama Desert

Itinerary - 5 Days

Day 1 — Santiago

After our farewell celebration in wine country, return to our hotel, located in one of Santiago's most exclusive neighborhoods, for an evening at leisure.
The Singular Santiago

Days 2, 3, & 4 — Atacama

Transfer to the Santiago airport for an early morning flight to Calama. Upon arrival, transfer by coach to San Pedro de Atacama and check in to Tierra Atacama, a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World and our home for the next three nights. During your time here, choose from a selection of Altiplano excursions, designed for all interests and fitness levels.

Explore by foot, bike, or on four-wheel drives as local guides introduce you to the jewels of the Atacama desert, including its great moonscapes and glistening salt flats, resident flamingos, natural hot springs, and spurting geysers. Or participate in guided visits to the cultural sites of San Pedro de Atacama—home to picturesque village, churches, ancient dwellings, and gorgeous ancient art—to discover the history of the area.

Transfer to the Calama airport for your return flight home.

Day 1 — Santiago

Days 2, 3, & 4 — Easter Island

Transfer to the airport to catch a morning flight to Easter Island. Upon arrival, settle into our lodge. Over the next three days choose from a variety of excursions to experience the spectacular sites of Easter Island. Explore Rano Raraku statue quarry, where the outer and inner slopes of the mountain are covered with hundreds of moai statues in different stages of completion. Visit Anakena Beach, the legendary landing place of Hotu Matua—founder of Rapa Nui. Discover the restored site of Ahu Nau Nau to learn about the modern-day culture of Easter Island. During your stay, enjoy wonderful meals, amenities, and surroundings while staying in our lodge's refurbished local houses.
Explora Rapa Nui (B,L,D daily)

Day 5 — Easter Island

Transfer to the Mataveri airport for your return flight home.
