We have chosen as our home base for this workshop a stunning beachfront resort in Saint Lucia, which offers clear views of the island’s iconic Pitons—a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will stay at the Anse Chastanet Resort, while visiting the nearby Jade Mountain property for occasional photo shoots around the private resort grounds.
Anse Chastanet Resort
Built on a 600-acre private estate on St. Lucia’s southwestern coast, Anse Chastanet was designed in harmony with its lush tropical surroundings. The resort’s 49 exquisite guest rooms are tucked amid coastal coconut palms, or scattered across the jungle-shrouded hillside that rises up from the shoreline. The property borders a marine reserve harboring colorful corals and tropical fish, and features views of the World Heritage-designated Pitons.
Photo activities during the workshop will take place around the resort's private estate, including the nearby Jade Mountain property and beachfront. Of this stunning location, National Geographic Photographer Joe McNally has remarked, “There is no more beautiful place to shoot, and to learn about photography and light.”
