About the Train
Tsar's Gold
The Tsar's Gold is a private train that accommodates 200 passengers. Four dining cars feature traditional Russian cuisine and convert to bar/lounge facilities after dinner. Each sleeping car has two attendants. The comfortable Standard Plus New and Nostalgic Comfort cabins have shared facilities. The deluxe Bolshoi Class and Bolshoi Platinum Class cabins have private facilities.Read detailed cabin descriptions below.

Tsar's Gold
Bolshoi Platinum
Bolshoi Platinum Class cabins are the most comfortable option available on the Tsar's Gold private train. There are five cabins in each Bolshoi Platinum carriage. Each cabin is outfitted with a shower enclosure, toilet, and washbasin. Cabins are well appointed and equipped with two convertible upper/lower berths, a cozy seating bench, window-table, wardrobe, flat panel LCD TV/DVD combo and individually controlled air conditioning. Towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided. Two cabin attendants are at your service offering tea, coffee or water as well as evening turn down service.
*Note: There are 5 compartments per carriage. The 5th compartment is of a slightly different layout, (68 sq feet compared to 77 sq feet compartments 1 through 4) and will normally be allocated to single guests.
Bolshoi
Bolshoi Class cabins feature the same modern en-suite amenities as Bolshoi Platinum, but in a smaller space. Bolshoi Class cabins are smaller than Bolshoi Platinum cabins but still have a shower, washbasin, toilet and individually controlled air conditioning. There are six cabins per carriage. Cabins are well appointed and equipped with two convertible upper/lower berths, a cozy seating bench, window-table and wardrobe. Towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided. Two cabin attendants are at your service offering tea, coffee or water as well as evening turn down service.
Nostalgic Comfort
Nostalgic Comfort Class cabins are new cars retrofitted with furnishings reminiscent of the special sleeping cars used by Communist Party leaders in the 1950s. Cabins include convertible upper and lower twin berths, a comfortable armchair, and storage space above the door. A small, basic sink and hand-held shower is shared between each two compartments and a toilet is found at each end of the carriage. There are eight sleeper cabins per carriage with central air conditioning (operational when the train is moving).
Standard Plus New
Standard Plus New cabins entered service in 2009 and have new furnishings and fixtures in a rich design. Cabins feature two lower, twin berths. Sleeping berths convert to sofas for daytime travel and there is storage space under the bunks and above the door in each cabin. There is a toilet and washbasin found at each end of the carriage. There are eight sleeper cabins per carriage with central air conditioning (operational when the train is moving). The ninth compartment has been converted to a shared shower.
