Take off on an adventure-filled eight days among the striking natural towers and red plateaus of the American canyonlands. Walk along the edge of the Grand Canyon with a recognized expert to view 2,000-year-old rock art, hike among the astounding rock formations of Zion National Park, and discover the beauty of Antelope Canyon alongside a Navajo guide. Find inspiration amid the beauty of these legendary landscapes.

Itinerary - 8 Days

Day 1 — Las Vegas

Arrive at any time.

Days 2 & 3 — Zion National Park

Depart early for Zion National Park, where red sandstone gorges and waterfall-laced cliffs make for some of the most scenic canyon landscapes in America. The next day, set out on a guided hike to the picturesque Narrows. Wade into the Virgin River, which cuts through the slot canyon, and take in jaw-dropping views of the park's high plateaus, sculpted rock towers, and sheer sandstone walls. (2B, 1L)

Day 4 — Bryce Canyon National Park/Page

Spend today discovering Bryce Canyon National Park, famed for the multi-colored rock pinnacles that jut skyward from the canyon floor. Later, continue toward Page, Arizona. (1B)

Day 5 — Antelope Canyon/Grand Canyon

Join a Navajo guide for a walk through Antelope Canyon. Located on native land and only accessible when accompanied by an authorized escort, this wonder is considered one of the most stunning slot canyons in the world. Later, travel to the Grand Canyon, stopping en route at the picturesque Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River. (1B)

Day 6 — Grand Canyon

Spend the day exploring the canyon alongside an expert from the Grand Canyon Association Field Institute, discussing the park's geology, history, and culture. Visit the Historic Village District, and then continue down the Bright Angel Trail to view 2,000-year-old rock art. Drop by Kolb Studio on the canyon’s South Rim, once the home and studio of photographers Emery and Ellsworth Kolb whose work has been featured in National Geographic magazine. (1B)

Days 7 & 8 — Flagstaff/Las Vegas

Visit Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff for a tour of its giant telescopes, and hear about the facility's National Geographic-supported studies of Mars. Return to Las Vegas and depart at any time the following day. (2B)

All trip prices are per person based on double occupancy. If you're traveling on your own, we'll pair you up with a roommate of the same gender so that you can pay the same rate as other travelers. Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include airfare. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars.
