Discover the Okavango Delta, where thousands of animals gather each year to drink from the fresh waters of the world’s largest inland delta. On a 10-day adventure, travel in a houseboat in the panhandle of the delta, take game drives into Botswana’s top national parks, and visit one of the world's best preserved sites for prehistoric rock art. Plus, an exclusive evening of traditional Botswana storytelling around the fire is sure to stoke your own unbelievable travel stories.

    • Set out on open-vehicle game drives in Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve.
    • Ply the waterways of the Okavango Delta in a houseboat on a two-night cruise.
    • Meet an author and her storytelling troupe to hear local legends over a traditional meal.

Itinerary - 10 Days

Day 1 — Victoria Falls

Arrive at anytime. Arrival transfer is included.

Days 2 & 3 — Okavango Delta

Cross the border into Botswana via Namibia and transfer to a houseboat, our home in the Okavango Delta for the next two nights. Cruise the delta’s channels on the lookout for amazing wildlife. Opt to enjoy a cultural excursion to Tsodilo Hills, or relax on deck. (2B, 2L, 2D)

Day 4 — Maun

Transfer to the frontier town of Maun. Enjoy an evening of culture and traditional foods with celebrated author Bonty Botumile and the Thari-E-Ntsho Storytellers, a local enterprise dedicated to preserving Botswana’s heritage. Opt to take a scenic flight over the delta. (1B, 1D)

Days 5 & 6 — Khwai River/Moremi Game Reserve

Drive to the Khwai River area beside the Moremi Game Reserve. Embark on open-vehicle game drives with time to relax at our comfortable tented camp. (2B, 2L, 2D)

Day 7 — Chobe

Travel deeper into the Chobe wilderness to the Ghoha Hills, which offer spectacular views of the surrounding bush. Relax at our camp and learn about the parks and reserves during an informative talk with a local expert. Enjoy late-afternoon game viewing in open vehicles. (1B, 1L, 1D)

Day 8 — Chobe National Park/Kasane

After an early start, take a slow game drive along the southern bank of the Chobe River, home to some of the world’s largest elephant populations. Buffalo, hippos, and lions can also be seen here. Later, opt to take a sunset photography river cruise accompanied by a knowledgeable wildlife expert and guide. (1B, 1L)

Days 9 & 10 — Victoria Falls

Cross the border back into Zimbabwe and enjoy our final evening. Depart at any time the next day. (2B)

Cost Details

All trip prices are per person based on double occupancy. If you're traveling on your own, we'll pair you up with a roommate of the same gender so that you can pay the same rate as other travelers. Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include airfare. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars.
