Jeremy Schmidt
Few people know Yellowstone country better than wildlife biologist Jeremy Schmidt. Jeremy has spent more than 20 years in the area, working as a winter keeper, park ranger, naturalist, photographer, and author. His writing includes several books for National Geographic and articles for National Geographic and National Geographic Traveler magazines. His knowledge of Yellowstone will enrich your experience in this magnificent park.
Jamie Walton
Naturalist Jamie Walton is a seasoned field guide who has spent much of his life living and working in the Rockies. After studying biology and education at the University of Wyoming, Jamie spent ten years as instructor and ranch manager at the Audubon Ecology Workshop. He has guided numerous conservation and education groups through Yellowstone National Park, including the National Parks Conservation Association and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition. He also conducts wildlife research for the non-profit organization Wild Things Unlimited, which seeks to improve wildlife and habitat management in the Rockies. An avid outdoorsman and rock climber, Jamie lives in Bozeman, Montana.
Kurt Westenbarger
Kurt Westenbarger has lived, worked and played in the Greater Yellowstone since 1982. First as a college student working toward his photography degree, then as a guide of fly fishermen, backpackers, and nordic skiers, Kurt has developed an intimate knowledge of the regionʼs complex geology, dynamic wildlife, and fascinating human history. His ability to share his knowledge through fun and exciting experiences makes Kurt one of Yellowstoneʼs ʻtop guidesʼ.
Kitty Coley
Kitty Coley is a geologist, naturalist, and avid birder who serves as a consultant to National Geographic magazine. A popular National Geographic Expeditions leader, she brings an interactive, enthusiastic approach to teaching travelers about the fascinating aspects of the geology, flora, and fauna of Yellowstone National Park.
