An archaeologist and wilderness guide, Scott Thybony is a popular National Geographic Expedition leader on trips to America's Southwest. Scott has written widely about the Southwest, including the book Canyon Country Parklands: Treasures of the Great Plateau for National Geographic. In 2000, Scott received a Society grant to search for and document Native American cave paintings.
