During more than 30 years in foreign affairs, Ambassador James D. Rosenthal has represented the United States in Africa and Southeast Asia, served on the U.S. delegation to the Vietnam peace talks in Paris, and was Ambassador to Guinea. James has also taught political science and international relations at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. His insights into culture, foreign affairs, and history have made him a popular lecturer for National Geographic.
