Former executive editor of National Geographic magazine Robert Poole produced articles ranging from imperial Japan and African wildlife to Winslow Homer. He is the author of Explorers House, a widely acclaimed history of the National Geographic Society; and the newly released On Hallowed Ground, the first comprehensive history of Arlington National Cemetery. Bob's work has also appeared in Smithsonian, the New York Times, and the Washington Post.
