Ted Koppel

Ted Koppel is a senior news analyst for National Public Radio and a contributing analyst for BBC America's World News America. From 1980 to 2005, he was the anchor and managing editor of ABC News Nightline. As the nation's longest running daily news anchor, Ted conducted famously incisive interviews and covered every major news story over a span of 25 years. A member of the Broadcasting Hall of Fame, Ted has won every major broadcasting award, including 42 Emmy® Awards (one for lifetime achievement), eight Peabody Awards, ten duPont-Columbia Awards, and two George Polk Awards. His ten Overseas Press Club Awards make him the most honored journalist in the Club's history. He will share his experiences aboard the April 29, 2010 British and Irish Isles expedition.
