Anthropologist Jean-Jacques Decoster has studied Andean cultures for more than 25 years. He earned his Ph.D. at Cornell University and lives in Cusco, where he teaches Inca history and Andean ethnology at the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad. Since August 2012, Jean-Jacques has also served as Director of the Machupicchu Casa Concha Museum in Cusco. The museum exhibits pieces excavated during the National Geographic- and Yale-sponsored 1912 Machu Picchu expedition, which were recently returned by Yale to Peru.
