Photographer Jim Richardson has produced more than 40 stories for National Geographic and National Geographic Traveler magazines. Jim’s work on environmental issues for National Geographic magazine has covered topics ranging from feeding the planet to protecting our night skies from light pollution. His work has also been published in Time, Newsweek, Life, and Sports Illustrated, and featured on CBS News Sunday Morning and ABC's Nightline. Jim teaches and speaks internationally, and is co-founder of Eyes On Earth, which mentors young environmental photographers. Published widely, Jim has also been profiled on CBS News Sunday Morning and ABC's Nightline, and was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his contributions to environmental and cultural understanding. The Society's assignment photographers voted Jim the National Geographic "Photographer's Photographer" in 2015.
