Vincent Musi, a frequent contributor to National Geographic magazine, has covered subjects as diverse as traveling the legendary Route 66, life under volcanoes, Welsh culture, and preserving the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. His award-winning work has also been published in Time, Smithsonian, Newsweek, the New York Times Magazine, Life, and numerous books.

Biologist Randy Babb has served as a consultant for National Geographic television programs on ecology. He is a veteran of numerous trips to Costa Rica to study, photograph, and observe wildlife. He specializes in herpetology, has taught rain forest ecology courses in Latin America, and enjoys spotting and catching insects and animals for close-up observation by children. Randy will accompany the expedition shown below.

Kitty Coley is a geologist, naturalist, and avid birder who serves as a consultant to National Geographic magazine for articles related to her expertise and has led expeditions for National Geographic for over 8 years. She worked as a geologist for 15 years before becoming involved full-time in expedition travel. Through her work, she has spent extensive time in remote rain forests and rugged geologic settings around the world. Her love of nature has led to exploration through scuba diving, backpacking, white-water and sea kayaking, and biking. Kitty shares her in-depth knowledge about the fascinating aspects of the geology, flora, and fauna in a very interactive way. Kitty will accompany the expeditions shown below.

Jonathan Cooley studied geology and paleontology at the University of Colorado and Montana State University. Working with a team under a National Geographic grant in 1995, Jonathan excavated the dromeosaur Utahraptor. Jonathan has led expeditions to fossil localities in the American West, Alaska, Mongolia, Argentina, and Mexico; as well as family programs and camps. Jonathan will accompany the expedition shown below.
